Charming villa on the edge of town. Sumptuous breakfast room with lots of orchids, tasty items, and pleasant service. Gorgeous outdoor pool by tall Italian Cyprus: felt like being in a Van Gogh painting. Interesting items for sale at gift counter. Clever decoration. Cons: Pillows were not comfortable and the WiFi is weak.

We stayed for two nights to visit the Champagne region. The hotel is the old estate house for the Mercier Champagne brand which is immediately next-door. It's at the end of the Avenue de Champagne and is a short-ish walk into town. It's a lovely house. I'm sure no two rooms are the same so I can't speak for the whole property, but ours was great and even had its own small private patio. The pool was a major plus. Nice size and temperature. Hot tub and sauna are also available. The breakfast room is gorgeous, and we found the breakfast to be very good. The only negative was that the Wi-Fi is a little weak. Luckily we had some cell reception. Overall, it was a great experience. It's worth staying in Epernay rather than making it a very a long day trip from Paris.

What a lovely hotel! We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here (3 nights). We were greeted almost as soon as we'd driven in and were given a warm welcome at reception. The hotel is beautifully designed with contemporary art installations against the backdrop of classic furnishings. Our room was spacious and with lots of natural light, separate sofa, huge standalone bath and large walk in shower with lovely products available. The bed is comfy and we slept very well. Sadly during our stay the weather was poor so we couldn't make use of the outdoor pool but did sit on the terrace for tea one afternoon. Had we braved the weather there was a pool perfect for short laps, sauna and steam room. Breakfast is a lovely buffet of hot and cold items, more than I expected for a continental offering. There is a bar in a separate annexe with, as you'd expect, a significant range of champagnes, by the glass and bottle, amongst many other drinks. Parking is allocated at one space per room, electric charging available if needed. The car park is secured over night giving peace of mind. The only downside to this hotel in my opinion is that it is located at the very end of the avenue, with just one Champagne House beyond it. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the hotel down the length of the Avenue de Champagne (taking in every house on your way) and into town where you will find restaurants etc I would happily recommend this hotel.

NO MORALS AND COMPLETELY RIPPED US OFF!! ********Avoid Avoid Avoid Avoid ***** We are 2 women travelling through France, we booked this hotel requesting a twin room, we need a twin. When we arrive they told us no twin rooms were available!! We agreed to cancel the booking on booking.com and they would approve a free cancellation. So we had to leave and found ourselves late in a new town looking for a hotel at the last minute - which we did thankfully and they were wonderful at such short notice. However my issue is that this morning they have refused our cancellation and charged us the full amount. Then have waited long enough that we left the area and couldn't go back!! And have charged us the full PS200 for our room. We had to leave as they didn't have what we booked and have charged us regardless This is an absolute pure rip off and unethical - avoid them at all costs. There are better hotels for the money in the area too. From reading other reviews it seems their unethical practice is standard and they charge credit cards without approval too!! I have called and cancelled my credit card and will also be disputing the charge !! ***Edit to response The response from the hotel below is the same generic message they sent me. I wish I were able to add on here my booking confirmation showing I booked a TWIN ROOM. If you can't offer people what they book, call them and tell them in advance - don't wait for them to turn up and then just tell them effectively 'tough' that's what we have. Take it or leave it. I have my own booking. Com account and so know exactly how it works - I send/sent a request to you to cancel without charge - and you have the option to do that. Your ethics and morals should have applied the refund based on the fact you knew you didn't have to offer us what we booked, you also could have refused the booking. YOU TOOK THE BOOKING KNOWING YOU COULD NOT OFFER WHAT WE BOOKED AND THEN YOU REFUSED OUR REFUND That is based on your ethics and morals and in my opinion that's not a way to run a business! Really not good.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel, such a perfect gateway for a weekend. The staff is helpful, warm and attentive to details. The property was cozy and clean. Top location for main attractions. I'm looking forward to visiting in the future!

Beautiful property and excellent staff -- genuinely a very good hotel. That said, charging guests four times the cost of a Tesla Supercharger to top up an EV is hard to justify. The issue isn't the hotel, it's a poor and frankly incompetent choice of charging partner that risks leaving a bad taste in an otherwise excellent stay.

Sadly, we did not stay at this hotel. We travel frequently and are not demanding or unreasonable. We understand wear and tear in older properties. The issue here was the booking process. We attempted to book three nights through the hotel's website. Each time, after entering correct dates and credit card details, the confirmation email generated by the ReservIT system showed dates shifted one day earlier. This happened repeatedly. We cancelled and retried several times. The same issue occurred. This is a known problem with some older booking systems, especially when booking from a different time zone. We have experienced this elsewhere in the past. We contacted the hotel directly by email to clarify and received no response. After reading consistent Google reviews mentioning similar communication and booking issues, we decided to cancel and stay elsewhere. The hotel appears charming and well located. With a more reliable booking system and clearer communication, it would likely be a much stronger offering. This review is based solely on the booking experience, not a stay. To be fair I have rated the rooms and the location as 3, even though I have not stayed here, but the service for not responding to my reservation I made with them, is 1/5 and that is generous Cheers

A recommander +++

Be careful with leaving credit card details on their system. We finalised the bill before leaving and agreed on the items, yet days after checking out, the hotel quietly charged extra for a bottle of wine we did not consume due to faulty. This was confirmed taken off the charge when we were billed before departure. The charge was made with no notice or receipt of transaction which is extremely bad practice, yet when we tried to rectify, the hotel is now actively ignoring our email follow ups. EDIT The dismissive response is deeply unprofessional the fact that they were aware that the bottle was NOT consumed and that the receptionist who finalised our bill before departure knew this hence took it off. You cannot confirm a bill and then sneakily withdraw from someone's account without notice or email receipt. That is bad practice.
