Domaine du Mas de Pierre Hotel Resort & Spa Relais & Chateaux à Saint-Paul-de-Vence

I don't know how to feel about this hotel. Food and service is mediocre. The entrance was bery confusing. Not clear where to go and where is the checkin and where is valet and where is anything. I had to go inside the building to find someone and ask where to go. Front desk was okay. He did upgrade us since we booked with amex. Their gardens are cool but sometimes confusing because not much clear signs. It just doesn't have a story or nice flow to it. Just feels like random plants and trees put together and was like there you go. Rooms are ok. We were in junior suite and I don't like that the toilet is separated in a tiny room. Pillows weren't the best here. But bed was comfortable overall. Terrace was nice. We were close to the spa which was also nice. The spa was cool. All the jets in the indoor pool was very cool. Steam room was excellent and had a nice smell. Overall spa is the highlight as many people mention. Breakfast was honestly bad. The crepes and eggs and avocado toast the cookers make are not good. Waffles were decent however. Everything else was just plain. Latte macchiato they made was also bad. Then lunch and dinner hours for both restaurants are horrible and limited. Why? Also not fan of the location we're in. Just on a random hill/mountain.

The hotel overall aesthetically is beautiful and a very good options for kids. The Lagon had sand and a slide, there is a playground and there are kid activities which we didn't do but there was a schedule for that. The room had a lot of insects, makes sense given the location, but I would say staff generally not accommodating. We had dinner at one of the restaurants and the waiters were rushing back and forth ignoring us most of the time. No one helped us pack our bags in the car, no water bottles for the road. Can't say it was a 5 star experience

One of the most beautiful hotel properties I have ever visited. Absolutely breathtaking! The spa is the finest I have ever experienced. However, the service and our room left a lot to be desired. The bathroom shower seals were loose, which caused water to spread all over the bathroom floor. The bathroom ventilation was poor, and the mirrors stayed fogged up for hours after showering. We actually preferred showering at the spa rather than in our room. There was no poolside service at all. At the lagoon pool there was no service whatsoever, and at the main pool you had to go inside the restaurant to find a staff member if you wanted to order something. The concierge service was disappointing. I asked them to help call a French-speaking number at Nice Airport to inquire about a lost suitcase. They told me nobody answered the phone, but afterwards I called myself and they answered immediately. When the suitcase finally arrived at the hotel, the concierge had told the delivery driver that no guest by my name was staying at the hotel, even though I had already discussed the lost luggage situation with them. Breakfast ended already at 10 am and cost EU50 per person, which did not feel like good value for money. One evening after 9 p.m. we went to the bar restaurant to ask if any food was available, and we only received a bit rude response saying that no food was available anymore. I would like the staff to have more of we make it work-attitude and they maybe could tell what the options are, maybe to order room service or check if any other restaurants nearby are still open instead of "no". I would recommend this hotel but I would hope better service :)

I rarely write long reviews, but after one of the longest and most exhausting work stretches I've had in a while, I decided to treat myself and book a stay here specifically to enjoy the spa and relax. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, the surroundings are stunning, and the spa services themselves were wonderful. That said, for a hotel at this price point, there were a few disappointing moments that really stood out. At check in, I was told the spa closed at 8pm, so I tried to maximize the little time available between check in and closing. Around 7:30pm, we were told we had to leave, which was frustrating, especially after later confirming with the front desk that the spa officially closes at 8pm. When you are paying around $600+ a night largely for the amenities, losing part of that already limited window feels disappointing. Later, I went to the bar hoping to grab a quick appetizer and drink before bed and unfortunately had a very cold interaction with a bartender named Vic. I simply asked if there was any easy appetizer available and was abruptly told "no, no food anymore." After an already frustrating evening, the interaction honestly felt unnecessarily dismissive. Thankfully, the experience completely turned around afterward thanks to two incredible staff members, Hossin and Kassandre, at the restaurant. I walked over just hoping for anything small to eat, even takeaway, because I didn't want to inconvenience the kitchen late in the evening. Instead, they welcomed me warmly, invited me to sit, and treated me with such kindness and genuine hospitality. I ordered only the burrata and beef carpaccio thinking they would be the easiest dishes for the kitchen at that hour, and they ended up giving me one of the nicest dining experiences I've had in a long time. Hossin and Kassandre are exactly what hospitality should feel like and truly saved the experience for me. There were also a few room issues that normally wouldn't bother me, but again, at this level they stood out. The shower had no clear temperature controls, so figuring out hot versus cold was oddly difficult, and the shampoo/conditioner dispenser was broken to the point where I had to unscrew the bottles to use them. Overall, this is a gorgeous property with some truly exceptional staff members, but the service consistency does not currently match the luxury price point.

Had an amazing time but mainly came to write a review on how great Joel, the lifeguard at the spa is. He gave me some fantastic swimming tips and reassured me with his calmness! Hope he will still be there next time I visit. Overall a lovely place with great service.

J'ai souhaite passer une nuit au mas de pierre suite a des recommandations d'amis. Toutefois j'ai prefere choisir un autre lieu lorsque j'ai eu confirmation par l'etablissement que les clients de l'hotel n'avaient plus acces au spa apres le Check out a 11h. Si vous y passez une nuit, vous avez par consequent acces au spa de 16h a 11h ce qui n'est pas digne d'un etablissement de ce standing. L'hotel ou je suis finalement allee propose l'acces au spa jusqu'a 20h alors que le Check out est aussi effectue a 11h ce qui me semble la moindre des choses.

Nous nous sommes rendus au mas de pierre, environ 10 fois ces trois dernieres annees, generalement deux nuits. Nous constatons une evolution aberrante de l'acces au spa pour les clients de l'hotel. Afin de permettre l'acces a des utilisateurs exterieurs, desormais, les clients de l'hotel ne peuvent acceder au spa qu'a compter de l'heure de Check in 15h. Jusqu'au Check out; c'est-a-dire 11h. En d'autres termes si vous devez y passer une ou deux nuits seulement et venez pour ce qui est son atout principal - son spa - passez votre chemin. Prenez simplement une entree exterieure et ne dormez pas la bas. Le jour du depart, nous avons ete chasses a 11h d'un spa vide. Dommage nous avions prevu de dejeuner a l'hotel ce jour la. Mais a l'evidence nous n'etions pas desires. Les clients de l'hotel ne le sont vraisemblablement plus. Ils devraient ouvrir un simple spa a ce compte la et ne pas s'embarrasser d'une activite hoteliere. Quel dommage.

Une agreable journee au Spa, tres bel accueil, massage excellent, dejeuner tres copieux et raffine. Nous reviendrons. Felicitations a Anne Laure et Natascha pour leurs mais de fees.

Beautiful, luxurious and quiet accommodation. Extensive spa offerings and exceptional spa and gym facilities. Spotless, updated, beautiful, discreet. Several pools - I loved the indoor pool with several different spa jets. The rooms were also very well kept with classic French decorative patterns and modern touches. We enjoyed the exceptional sauna offerings (they have a salt room and a snow room and a cold water bucket!). Location wise they offer a hotel shuttle to the lovely town of Saint Paul de Vence and it's ~30-40 min by uber to the bigger cities nearby: nice, Antibes, Cannes. If you're looking for a quietly luxurious place - this is your spot.

We had a fantastic stay during our trip to the French Riviera. The concierge team was excellent and was very responsive with all of our requests for our baby and provided a crib, baby towel and bib as well as help with booking a nanny who was absolutely amazing. The property is gorgeous and has a lot of greenery throughout, including gardens that we walked through every morning and night. Our room was very spacious and we really enjoyed the large outdoor space. We also found the location very ideal, close to many beautiful towns yet tucked away just enough to have a peaceful and quiet stay after a long day.
